We're often faced with a paradox during server updates, we want to have new features that have a member-centric approach. But at the same time, we want these to be new and exciting compared to the other 3, 000 roleplay servers. The more we add new features, the more difficult it becomes to make the next update more exciting. But if we can overcome these challenges, we can make something without compromise. Update 1.2.2 comes with over 100 bug fixes and new features such as the forklift job create an enhanced dynamic environment. It simply makes more sense to teach the script how to make great roleplay rather than teach people to be expert roleplayers. A remarkably simple update that packs a very powerful punch.

Why play here?
Lawless Roleplay was originally founded on the principle that all players should rise or decline based on the actions of the person behind the player. We feel that success should be determined by a players actions and talents and not the whim of an administrative team. We have great code. We have great staff. We have great players. But most importantly we have a vigilant regard for your potential.

Is this a roleplay server?
We have worked to provide many in game tools for roleplay and it is absolutely encouraged however not required. We feel that any preferred mode of play that does not encroach on any other player’s enjoyment of the game is productive. Due to the harsh nature of game mode frequent player versus player violent interaction should be expected. However, this does not mean that players are allowed to kill other players for no reason.

It's that season of the year folks! We're really excited about spending the winter holidays with our players for the very first time. I am happy to announce that this is our first Christmas as a community so we're all super duper excited about what we've got cooking in the pipelines. This is only the start of a series of events.​
  • Double EXP Weekends on 28 - 29 Dec 2013, 4 - 5 Jan 2014 and 11 - 12 Jan 2014

From the moment you join the server, you'll notice that we're really in the festive spirit at Lawless with Christmas songs playing whilst you log in. There will be continuous snowing all over Los Santos however this detects your FPS and tackles any lag problems pre-hand. So if you don't see snow falling from the skies, this will be due to your FPS and the script making sure you don't lag.​
Additionally, our wonderful mapping department has worked together to really produce a very festive map customisation all over Los Santos. You'll find Christmas trees scattered around popular hang outs all over Los Santos. And as a very special addition, the Mayor of Los Santos has funded extra Christmas lights all over popular Los Santos places.

Santa's sleigh got hit by AK-47 bullets whilst flying over grove and has crash landed in Flint County! He needs your help to deliver as many gifts as you can. And as a reward, he promises to give the top 20 helpers very special prizes. What you need to do is pick up a gift from his crash landing site and deliver it to Los Santos. Each time you do this, you will enter the raffle. The more times you enter the raffle, the better your chances are at winning one of the top 20 prizes. The raffle results will be released on the 10th January.

In between your present delivering tasks and shooting rival gang members. You could find a present which Santa has left for you.

There is a present that moves around San Andreas frequently - your objective is to find the present and answer the multiple choice question.

If you get the answer wrong, the present will be moved to another location. There's a possibility that the present will move back to a place where it already has been, so make sure you note where you saw the present, if you find it!

If you get the correct answer, you'll be given a choice of the following prizes:
  • Business (Your choice of business type)
  • Medium sized land
  • A house
  • Custom Car
  • Custom phone number
  • Ivy, Rose or Daisy perks for a month

The present can be found multiple times, so don't be discouraged if someone finds it before you.

We're known as a community that experiments with unique, detailed and realistic jobs. We took it to the next level in our previous update with the fisher man job. Now we're back to raise the bar and really set the golden standard for roleplay jobs.

The new forklift job is not only rewarding however it has a simple complexity about it which makes the job very dynamic and every single time you deliver a crate, you will experience something different.

We've been playing around with all types of skills such as the fishing or robbing skill. However, we're ready to take it to the next level. The forklift job comes with it's own skill set that comes with an unravelling twist. As you do more deliveries, you gain more experience and work your way up the skill. This allows players to gain more money but it also allows people to get up to 30% extra materials whilst material running. Heaven for the gun dealers.

  • Level 1 Forklift Driving Skill: 0% extra materials and a paycheck ranging from $40-$55
  • Level 2 Forklift Driving Skill: 10% extra materials and a paycheck ranging from $80-$95
  • Level 3 Forklift Driving Skill: 15% extra materials and a paycheck ranging from $120-$135
  • Level 4 Forklift Driving Skill: 20% extra materials and a paycheck ranging from $160-$175
  • Level 5 Forklift Driving Skill: 30% extra materials and a paycheck ranging from $200-$215
If you have a lot of luck on your side, you could have level 5 forklifting driving skill within one hour but all it takes is a streak of bad luck and you'll be back to level 1. Your skill points will deteriorate with time and your luck.

But you may be thinking, so how is this dynamic?

If you are someone who has luck on their side, you could be delivering a crate that could give you a bonus of $10, 000 on top of your pay. This is determined by your skill in the job, your luck and most importantly your notoriety.

Secondly, if you're a lunatic (which most of you are), you could really get into trouble doing this job. If you crash your forklift a lot, there is a chance that you will damage items in the crate which will cost you some big bucks and could even get you fired from the job for life. So if you think you're lucky, you could ram another forklifter off the road which will cause them to get fired from the job.

Tweaks and Adjustments

Administration
The most important adjustment is that the staff and administration team is undergoing a complete overhaul with new powers, departments and a much more organised approach to administrating the community. We want to provide every single person from banned to helper to admin - the very best experience they could have from a community. We now have three very simple departments which range from Public Affairs, Game Affairs and Community Affairs. Public Affairs handles the recruitment of new admins, technology, administrative requests, TeamSpeak and so forth. Game Affairs handles the most aspect to very day living for our guys in Los Santos, this includes management of factions, gangs and civilians. Community Affairs controls the helper teams, ban appeals, complaints and so forth.

Community & Player Tweaks
Lilly, who is our Ban Appeals Manager recently asked the community on a poll "Do you think we should let everyone banned before Christmas be unbanned?" and you guys voted. A whooping 60.8% of you voted that everyone should be unbanned as a community gift to everyone.

I am honoured and proud to announce to welcome back everyone who has in the past done wrong. We hope to open a new chapter with you as a community.

Secondly, Vinay has recently opened up a competition for the Chief Designer position. All you have to do is design a logo for Lawless and post it on the thread. The best designer will be awarded the Chief Designer position.
