This is still considered in public beta, there should have been a lot more bugs., I'm actually surprised there's almost none. Yes, responsive web design is not fully optimized yet, and it needs a bit more work.
However, you're comparing a probably few weeks-month old project to a 7-year ongoing optimized website.

I don't know if it would have been more work but I think it's doable to have the old version theme and this one running simultaneously (up to the user which one he wants).

Other than that, this one looks good but the old one will always remain in my heart hehe.

Thank you, this is correct. Our old website was made in 2013 and over the past 7 years, I have constantly tweaked it to be more user-friendly and better. This project was something I have wanted to do since XenForo 2.0 came out however a lot of addons and functionality that we rely on was missing so we had to wait for that functionality to be available.

There was multiple, probably over 20, different websites and setups made throughout the 7 years including us looking at other forum and website software offerings which the management team tested privately. We have invested nearly $3,000 on the functionality and design of the website and all components linked which is a lot of money for a community like ours which runs from donations solely. A lot of the functionalities you see such as donation store integration, joinable user groups, new support ticket system and multiple administrative tools did not exist as functionality on XenForo and we funded these projects by hiring third-party developers. Additionally, some other functionalities we had to buy pre-made add-ons and plugins. So we are certain that this is the correct path to take unless we would have not invested that money.

As like everything else, the website will be optimised and will become better over the next couple of weeks. I understand that change is hard to process and some people handle it better than others thus the mixed feedback. When YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and all these other major popular websites went through major redesigns and changes - we all hated it but eventually, it was optimised and it became all that we know. I remember when YouTube was redesigned and I started using a plugin for chrome which made it like the old version, now I can't even remember what the old version looked like.

All I am saying, stick by the website and give it a chance while we optimise it and improve it. For the geeks out there like myself that enjoy understanding the psychological process of us naturally rejecting redesigns of websites, these articles from Gizmodo and UXPlanet are really good and interesting reads to understand why we react the way we do when there is a website redesign.

I have created a public website 3.0 changelog which documents all changes we do to the website during this roll-out phrase. Please check there often to see changes we are doing to improve your experience.

Ps. It brings me a lot of joy to hear how much people loved the old website design which was designed solely by me back in 2013. Though, I'm sure you'll enjoy this design more as we iron out the issues.
