Update! Happy Birthday, Lawless Roleplay

It feels like it was only yesterday we opened our doors... Exactly 364 days ago, myself, Shock, Leii and a big bucket of hope opened this server. We set out a mission statement and promised to always abide by it.

Our mission statement to you...
Lawless Roleplay is, and always, will be a community first and a game server second. We are dedicated to fostering an environment with a member-centric approach where all players have equal potential for in game success and community recognition.

Why play here?
Lawless Roleplay was originally founded on the principle that all players should rise or decline based on the actions of the person behind the player. We feel that success should be determined by a players actions and talents and not the whim of an administrative team. We have great code. We have great staff. We have great players. But most importantly we have a vigilant regard for your potential.

Is this a roleplay server?
We have worked to provide many in game tools for roleplay and it is absolutely encouraged however not required. We feel that any preferred mode of play that does not encroach on any other player’s enjoyment of the game is productive. Due to the harsh nature of game mode frequent player versus player violent interaction should be expected. However, this does not mean that players are allowed to kill other players for no reason.

We opened our doors on 19th April 2013 to be instantly welcomed by a wave of over 200 players. We had 86 people online the second we removed the password on the server. Then, 5 minutes later we had well into the 100s. Now we hit new highs such as 172 players and we continue to grow. Nothing like this is possible without the admins, the staff and most importantly you. Welcome to the city of lunatics.

When we opened our doors on 19th April 2013, immediately people gained many new friends, allies and enemies. People from all over the SA-MP community came to Lawless because of our mission statement and a firm stance on siding with players. Over the years, we saw enemies fight a lot, new friendships, enemies fight, gangs be formed, leaders be born, rules be broken, hackers be banned, materials be ran, trucks deliver, miners mine, drugs be smuggled, shotguns be shot, people get tazed, turfs be won, events be lost, factions go up and factions go down. We laughed, smiled, yelled, hated, loved and fought but above all we did what we came to do: We had fun, and the fun is only starting. Forget all the negatives DDoS attacks and other hack attempts. This is for you, cheers!

We have over 800, 000 logins, 1, 200, 000 connections, 88, 000 registrations, 9, 000 hours of uptime, 9200 hackers auto banned, 21, 000 forum threads, 163, 000 forum posts and 4,000 forum accounts at time of this post.

Thank you. You have supported us over the year beyond what I could imagine. You've always been here for us and we continue to enjoy and extend our relationship with you and create many more.

We have always said that is is simply more logical to teach the script how to make great roleplay rather than teach people to be expert roleplayers. Lawless Roleplay has always been forward thinking. And that's exactly what the update is now. The robbery and fishing jobs are pioneering. The anti-cheat is innovative. Lawless Roleplay is ahead of its time. These features are all at the service of people. Not the other way round. And they're evidence that innovation can prevail over rampant updates. That's progress. And that's a beautiful thing. We're growing every second of the year.

We believe that all our members should experience smooth gameplay and interaction between another. For the past few weeks, we have been working extremely hard to iron out from very irritable issues for our members. This may be a small update but it has great significance towards what we are aiming to accomplish with Lawless Roleplay. It sets the playground for future updates.

- A brand new custom streamer (what loads your objects) which detects existing environments and anticipates where you will go to load objects faster
- Cop can no longer deploy cades, flares, cones or spikes on turfs
- Added protection for fast bullets (shooting with no gun)
- Added protection for teleporting vehicles hack
- Altered /dm to 5 warnings
- Increased vehicle illegal mod detection
- Hitmen cannot accept contracts that will put people into debt
- The almighty C.O.C.K. now detects animations exploiters
- You cannot tie somebody on a bike or detain them on a bike
- You no longer can use animation on active turfs
- Alt-tabbing will leave you vulnerable for 15 seconds
- Cops can no longer use tazers in active turf zones
- Rush-taze will cause the tazer to be holstered
- /take can only be used on cuffed players
- You cannot use your tazer whilst still under spawn protection
- You cannot use /bandana if shot in the past 20 seconds
- Gang bandana's are now shown in /frisk
- Spawn kill protection is now for 60 seconds
- Default server weather is now 10.
- Added message on payday for those who have unpaid vehicle tickets
- You need to be cuffed or tied for /blindfold to work
- You can't blindfold people if you're in PB, event, cuffed, in jail, injured or under spawn kill protection
- Turfs expire every 23 hours now
- /info has been added as a shortened version of /information
- Added brand new message HUDs and ALERT modules
- Updated IP tracing software to be more accurate
- Added new /sta command for helpers to send help requests to admins
- Brand new C.O.C.K. vehicle teleportation module
- Automated name capitalisation on connection
- Police now have access to the bean bag shotgun (/rubberbullets)
- Anti rush taze or bean bag will now holster the item automatically
- Several new administrative commands
- Medics can no longer /heal tabbed players
- Being arrested as a notorious criminal makes you lose 1/3 of your total wealth
- The cap for notorious arrests has been increased to $500, 000
- FBI Agents will receive half of the money (ie. Max of $166, 666)
- You can now pick the locks of doors!
- Added /listcarcolors
- Every DM warning decreases the damage of weapons by 20% (potential of max 80% damage loss)
- Players earn more damage to their weapons as they level up between level 1 (50% of max damage) to level 9 (95% of max damage)
- You lose a DM warning every 100 playing hours
- DMWarns get removed after you've been banned for having 5 DM warnings
- You are alerted about your DM warnings upon login
- Admins now have the option to manually hide a business map icon (especially in crowded areas)
- You no longer can use your tazer whilst in the hospital loading screen
- Enabled Easter Egg Hunt
- Easter Egg Hunt questions are brand new
- Moved a few hunt positions
- Changed Easter Egg Hunt rewards
- -25 pot, 10 crack and 10 chemicals

- You can no longer /rentroom if you own one or two houses

- Each time they use it, they hear the next 10 /d messages from factions
- Fixed a bug where medics get wrong checkpoints
