This photo was taken from one of the village people who worked as one of the builder in development of Hoover Dam. Based on his information regarding the construction of dam, where the first brick was laid in 1931. Behind the splendor of the Dam, there are workers who face a number of challenges relating to the large size of the facilities and the harsh conditions in the field. At that time, in the 30s, there were not many technological inventions to facilitate the making of the Hoover Dam. Therefore the labor are casting the framework of the hoover dam with the form of blocks. The block are equipped with a height of 1.5m, but a different size and staggered. Then they invented a tube system which is used to help the concrete to go up the tube. For the construction of this Dam, workers had to use a rope which is lifted by human power because of the lack of cranes at that time. Behind the Hoover dam there is a lake called Mead. This lake stretches 180 kilometers from the wall, and has an area of 640 square kilometers and the storage volume of the reservoir is 35 cubic kilometers.
