We were informed by the investigation lead by the Los Santos Police Deparment that the boat belonged to a fisherman of good standing, Mr. Aidan Griffin (( @Aidan )). According to eye-witness reports, Mr Griffin lost control of the vessel and struck the walls of the marina which resulted in a blast. The other fisherman, whose squallo was affected from Aidan's boat and also exploded, was another working-class person named Drew Braddock. Luckily, both of them escaped the explosion. Nonetheless, they were still heavily injured, with burn marks and lacerations caused by flying debris. As always, the Los Santos Fire & Medical Department sprang into action very quickly, to transport the victims to the hospital and provide them with the treatment required. Both of them are now safe from any danger.
The economics of fishing: Due to the ongoing pandemic in Los Santos and worldwide, supply lines have grown thin. In an attempt to jump-start the economy, the US Government has dumped over a trillion dollars into the stock market and has deployed typically Keynesian economic strategies, like providing incentives to essential workers in the form of higher payment. Many economists posit that this is the main factor that has lead to the spike in fishing prices and, by extension, in the sudden increase of traffic in this particular sector of the Los Santos economy.

Police Officer Abdul Kareem Sulan has been controlling the situation at the dock to avoid any type of accident. Fire Department member Tyrone Gibson is ready in case of any fire, and a medical member is available for urgent treatment in the unfortunate event of an accident.
Mayor Jaspreet Singh has requested the citizens of Los Santos to keep away from the fishing dock unless they are fishermen for their own safety.
((OOC Conclusion.))
((In light to the recent "Fisherman Double Paycheck" event organized by Barney, the number of fishermen has increased. The area of the fishing dock, being quite small, has caused a lot of trouble. We here at SAN News request the citizens of Los Santos to stay away from the fishing dock unless they are working there, and to not troll around, which can result in harm to the life of the fishermen and an unpleasant experience for all players.
Stay away, stay safe Los Santos.
Moreover, if you feel like someone is having an advantage over another's game-play (hacking) like fisherman teleport hacks, etc. You are free to use [/report] to alert the admins anytime. The admin team is here to help us all.))
Thank you, stay safe Los Santos.
