Taxes are a mandatory contribution levied on individuals by the government . They have always been a controversial topic and a very important key in winning the elections in many countries. Taxes have been around since a very long time.

As the Governor and Deputy Governor hold the right to change and assign tax rates, these tax rates usually change along with each Governor elected. The former president Gabriel Box implemented a system with very high tax rates and also speed cameras which have received a huge amount of criticism. However, as soon as the former president got impeached, these high tax rates and speed cameras were removed when the current President took the lead.

So as citizens of Los Santos, it is our right to know where do our taxes go. We will talk today about the portion of that money which goes to pay the salaries of medics in the LSFMD, officers in LSPD and our soldiers in the SANG. Each of the departments play a very important role in our society from saving and rescuing patients to defending our country from terrorists and gang activities. In addition to that, some money goes to buy the equipment and cars these departments need in order to work and do their jobs. But is the Government fund to these departments enough since the new lower tax rates?

Here I conducted an interview with the Commissioner of the Los Santos Fire and Medical Department Mr. Gurkha Helford to ask him about the Government fund to the LSFMD and if it's enough to support the department.
Troy Hawks: Since the lower tax rates after the former Governor Gabriel Box have been impeached, I wanted to ask you a few questions about the Government fund to your department.
Troy Hawks: Are you satisfied by the Government fund to your department?
Gurkha Helford: Yes.
Troy Hawks: Does the Government fund your events and incentives to the young medics?
Gurkha Helford: Yes, they just started doing that.
Troy Hawks: What are some of your plans to improve LSFMD?
Gurkha Helford: Add more ranchers and do weekly events to keep FMD active.

So as we've heard, it seems that the Government fund to the LSFMD is still going and is stable even after the lower tax rates. So has the president figured out a solution to lower the tax rates and still have enough money to fund the departments of Los Santos? In conclusion, the next time you complain about tax rates, remember that it's not going to waste and that it goes to people who are working hard around the hour in order to serve and protect us, the citizens of Los Santos.
