At exactly 17:22 this afternoon,
a small recreational aircraft took off on the Los Santos International (IATA: LSI) runway without alerting air traffic control. The mystery pilot refused to make any contact with the ATC staff. After a single loop around the aerodrome, it flew head-first into a hangar, causing a massive explosion and damaging several military fighter-jets inside. The gas leak from the damaged fighters was then ignited by the erupted flames, creating a fireball that spread inside and outside the hangar. Official military reports are now talking about approximately 45 million dollars worth in damage.

Airport security quarantined the blast zone and immediately requested backup from the respective civil authorities. Within minutes, the police and fire department had arrived on location, fighting desperately to control the fire and keep the peace within the airport.
Witnesses describe hearing and seeing a ''Massive yellow light, followed by a cloud of black smoke and the sound of metal colliding on metal''. Visitors were immediately evacuated to a safe zone near the entrance and all flights were put on indefinite hold. ''We were terrified'', a citizen who wished to remain anonymous reported to our news crew: ''Suddenly there was this loud bang, we didn't know how near it was or if there was going to be another one. People started to panic and ran in any direction they saw fit, trampling and shoving others just to save their own skin'', she continued.

SAN News and it's breaking news crew arrived quickly to the scene to question police sergeant Sergio Marquis and his men. At this point, the fire hard been contained and was diminishing in strength. Reports from all divisions and agencies were just pouring in, but two things were clear: One, the flames had resulted from sparks igniting the spilled fuel, and two, there appeared to be no one on board the aircraft. It was assumed that the pilot made a death-defying jump before his craft impacted with the hangar's gates. On whether there was malicious intent or not, Sergeant Marquis said:

Currently, we have to be open to every possibility. The fact that the pilot did not call out Mayday leads us to believe there might be something malicious behind this incident. But again, everything will be more clear after we have reviewed the CCTV footage, flight data and cockpit voice recordings

In an effort to speed up the investigation process, SAN News requested that airport staff release their CCTV tapes so we could comb them over. What we found was mortifying: Two cameras record a middle-eastern looking man peek behind a stack of crates in the LSI's West wing at around 17:20. He then makes his way to the airport proper, boards the recreational aircraft, takes off, and proceeds to crash it. Unfortunately, the camera angles did not allow us to verify the point where the man exited the vehicle and how -if- he even got away with this. Whether this is a lone-wolf attack, a well orchestrated terrorist hit or a madman who dreamed of flight, the motive is yet unknown. So far, no organization or individual has claimed the incident, though it has to be noted that an organization known as ''the 9th Caliphate'' have been warning in recent propaganda videos that they have been planning a strike on US soil for several months. Given the fact that the airplane landed specifically in the only hangar that housed high-tech military aircraft in the entire LSI complex, foul play cannot be ruled out.

With the public's interest at heart, we bring to you, in closing, a video report from the incident, collected through drones, CCTV clips and our very own camera crew. It contains scenes from before and after the crash, including the exclusive footage of the mystery man sneaking past the warehouse and onto the runway. We hope that through sharing these clips, someone will step up and identify the subject, hopefully even providing his current location and reasoning. As always, tips can be anonymously directed to the 911 emergency hotline, or the special number set up for this investigation at 1-187-WHODUNNIT.

Please be warned that the following footage contains scenes of destruction and may cause distress to certain viewers.
