    Rule updates: Faction Rules.

We have adjusted the following rules on our rules page:

    Faction Tension

Law Enforcement Agencies are meant to cooperate and communicate to reach their goal. Regarding this,

    • Law Enforcement Officers may not shoot at one another in any circumstances, this includes retaliating fire (shooting back at an Officer who shot at you first)
    • Law Enforcement Officers may not steal another's suspect (for any purpose, whether it be arresting or releasing)
    • Law Enforcement Officers may not cause tension over a radio such as /d. If you have an issue with any faction members, bring it up to that factions leader, or speak to a member of Faction Management.

Prison (60 minutes) and/or Removal from the Faction

    Out-Of-Character & In-Character Corruption

Corruption is considered when any faction member abuses their faction given commands, equipment, and access to commit actions that are not within the faction's role in the server.

    Some examples of Out-Of-Character corruption:

    • A Law Enforcement Officer using /detain to kidnap a player
    • A hitman agent aiding a gang or faction
    • A Law Enforcement Officer excessively ticketing (/vticket)
    • Selling in game positions for in real life money
    • Abusing the free name change service
    • Frisking a player without a valid reason
    • Taking player weapons while on a shootout with them
    • Tazing players without a valid reason
    • Killing a player just to have a medic save them
    • Taking player items without it being used in a crime
Prison (60 minutes) and/or Removal from the Faction

However if you have been a victim of In-Character corruption that does not break the Out-Of-Character corruption rules, you can fill an IA complaint against the faction member here
( LSPD, FBI, LSFMD or SANews)

    Some examples of In-Character corruption:
    • Turning a blind eye on crime
    • Accepting a bribe in order to release their own suspect
    • Planting illegal narcotics or firearms (Both cannot be added) on a suspect (must be a HEAVILY ROLEPLAYED scenario and actually have the drugs to place on said suspect.)

    /su'ing rules

    • You may /su a suspect if you have their name (either by getting told by the suspect, checking MDC for previous records, showing you their licenses or by you frisking them)
    • You may /su a suspect if they are critically injured (As you can process them as a running suspect)
    • You cannot /su a suspects for a crime they have committed over 20 minutes subsequent to committing that crime. (You have 20 minutes to issue the felon.)
    • You MUST add the full charges, abbreviations are not allowed (I.E PIN, PIF, etc)
Prison (60 minutes) and/or Removal from the Faction

    Charge Stacking

Charge stacking is when a law enforcement officer files the same crime against a player several times. For example, a player is wanted for reckless driving and another officer gives them a wanted level for reckless driving again. It is the responsibility of the law enforcement officer to make sure that they are not charge stacking (they can check a player's crime by using the MDC's civilian record check.)

Prison (40-80 minutes) and/or Removal from the Faction

    Abuse of Faction Broadcast Channel

All out of character and abusive language which is not meant to be said in faction broadcast channels is punishable. This includes department radio, news channel and faction radio.
    • Faction members should not use the Department Radio or faction Broadcast Channel for Out Of Character material.
Kick and/or Removal from the Faction

    Vehicles with weapons

Factions have access to special vehicles with increased vehicle health or with weapons such as a water cannon, machine gun, and rocket launcher. The following rules apply:
    • These vehicles cannot be used during a turf war.
    • These vehicles must only be used for faction business only.
Prison (60 minutes) and/or Removal from the Faction

    Contract during turf

    • Hitman agents are not allowed to assist any factions.
    • Hitman agents are not allowed to do any hits during an active turf.
Prison (60 minutes) and/or Removal from the Faction and/or Fine 2x contract value

    Backup & Revenge Killing

    clarification for faction members

Law Enforcement Officers may not return to situations where they have died, even if a fellow Law Enforcement Officer has requested a backup. This rule doesn't apply on Turf wars and bank robberies as they are permitted to return to situations where they have previously died however if you returned to the same location without one of these specific things happening, it will be considered as Revenge killing.

You will receive a Deathmatch Warning.

Thank you on behalf of the Faction Management,
    Sharpe

    - Can FBI still order PD to hand over a suspect if the suspect has a casefile or is notorious? I am talking about legit arresting the suspect, not bailing out a friend

    - If you /frisk a suspect who is seriously injured he has to do /accept frisk before you can frisk. Is a /me line stating you frisk them sufficient to do /su?

    - In addition to the question above; if the suspect does /accept death before you can run to him, can you use a /me line that you frisk the body and then add the charge? Assuming this is done within a reasonable timeframe (let's say 5 secs)

    - Can /fingerprint still be used to establish one's identity, assuming they have prior convictions?

    - If we witness gang members fighting, are we allowed to intervene and arrest/charge gang members who are involved, assuming we do not 'team up' with one gang?

    - Is using /f to discuss in character issues considered abuse? For example asking a fellow member if he wants to patrol or request backup over /f

Also: is force matrix now considered an IC thing (that you need IC evidence for and then report to the faction leader) or an OOC thing (that can get you DM warned or admin jailed if you violate)?

    FFC Violation is fine.

    You both get punished.

    God bless you.

One of the IC things that has to be forced by leaders and punished through through IA complaints.

    - Yes, if you ask nicely.

    - Yes

    - Yes

    - Yes, it is scripted for a reason. It would be nice if role-played it.

    - If you witnessed two gang members, you will have to eliminate both sides.

    - No, not considered as abuse, but we prefer to keep IC issues for /r.

Also if the LSPD member shoots at an undercover FBI agent while sincerely not knowing the guy is FBI?

It's pretty fucked up if they get faction kicked or DM warned for a honest mistake
